Sarah 

President and Founder

Sarah completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph with a focus in Mathematics, Physics, and Studio Arts and later completed a Bachelor of Education at Queen's University.

With 8 years of experience running STEM outreach programs/camps, she loves what she does and teaching has always been a passion of hers. Sarah's favourite part about teaching/ training is building confidence and excitement in others and being a part of that moment when someone realizes their potential.

Hi there, my name is Robyn! I am halfway through my Bachelors of Education at Laurier. I have always had a passion for creatively approaching the world of STEM and incorporating my love of environmental education.

I have been involved in Life Gears for 4 years now starting off as a participant, then a volunteer and now a staff member. In my free time I am a part of Girl Guides, love to bake and of course explore everything STEM! The majority of my work will be done in the Wellington North area. I can’t wait to continue to meet new friends and teach youth all about the fabtastic world of STEM!

I am a student at the University of Waterloo in the social development program. I love working with kids and learning new things. I am new to the Life Gears program and can’t wait to explore all things STEM this summer!

Julianna

Admin Assistant

Julianna previously worked with Life Gears to create a virtual camp at the start of the pandemic and is excited to see the return of camps. She is studying Child and Youth Studies in St. Catharines. She adores anything involving the arts and kids! Julianna is looking forward to this new learning opportunity and meeting everyone!

Gouri

Camp Supervisor

Gouri is attending the University of Guelph for Biological Sciences with a minor in Studio Art. She loves kids and has worked with many camps. She loves to explore aspects of the world and help others understand them as well! She is creative, compassionate, and curious

Mia

Camp Leader

Mia is a highschool student attending Centennial and has attended this camp in past years. She plans to further explore computer science, digital design and environmental sciences. They enjoy working on art projects in their free time, as well as learning about nature. Mia is eager to meet new people and help campers feel comfortable while having fun! 

Meher

STEM Activity Programmer

Meher is a grade 10 student attending GCVI. She is really excited to work with kids interested in the sciences just like her! In her free time, Meher enjoys reading; watching T.V; baking; and playing games with her younger sister. Meher is very excited to meet new people with bright minds and great ideas!

Ganesh is grade 10 student attending CCVI. He enjoys helping and working with kids. In his free time he; likes to play games, go outside, play with his friends. He hopes to help other people out as well as meeting new people.

HR and Administrative Assistant

Emily is in her last year of school at the University of Guelph, majoring in Business Management. She is passionate about accessibility and inclusion; creating equal opportunities for everyone. As a neurodivergent, she has experienced the drastic increase in potential that exists when given proper supports and accommodations. As such, Emily encourages others to embrace their uniqueness and know that not everyone fits in the same box, and that's okay!
